  13. I am involved in a legal case (not mine!) and suddenly got some ideas for 
  14. Final Writer and Final Data.  I was listening to some fellow Fire 
  15. Fighters discussing their presentation and how it was produced.  They had 
  16. their slides produced and were remarking it would have been wonderful to 
  17. have had a briefing book of some sort so they could take to the stand 
  18. with them so they could que all their notes with their pictures.

  20. Final Writer will of course import pictures and gives you great control 
  21. how they are displayed in your doc.  It will also do a table of contents 
  22. and all that other stuff.  The problem is that with the large amount of 
  23. slides, graphs and other visuals in an arson case, doing the doc would be 
  24. very time consuming.

  26. It would be nice if you could do some of that work in Final Data which is 
  27. idealy set for this kind of work.  FD 3 allows datatypes to be stored and 
  28. manipulated like any other data.  Would it not also be nice if could be 
  29. quickly imported to FW?  FD would allow you to enter and sort your data 
  30. and datatypes and FW would allow you to format and print.

  32. The Fire Fighter talking about this wished his PC could do that more 
  33. easily.  Maybe I don't know my programs very well.  IF this can be done 
  34. please let know how, if not maybe Softwood should examine how the use of 
  35. datatypes would be improved.  If I could print what I have in FD 
  36. (pictures and other visual datatypes) then I would be a lot farther ahead.
